ReFresh Drugs and Alcohol ( Primary and Secondary)

ReFresh is a young people’s drug and alcohol service providing free and confidential support to young people aged 18 years and under who live, study or work in Hull.

ReFresh can offer the following to schools:

·       Work with the whole family, providing support for parents and carers of young people using drugs or alcohol

·       Support children and young people affected by a parent or carer’s drug or alcohol use

·       Deliver brief advice and one off workshops to targeted groups of young people at risk of substance misuse

·       Offer advice, support, consultation or training to professionals working directly with young people who do not wish to work ReFresh themselves

ReFresh can also work with young people on a one to one basis with their consent and can:

·       Provide a space to talk and someone to listen

·       Offer advice and information about reducing, stopping or safer use

·       Offer smoking cessation services for under 16’s

·       Look at effective ways to talk about drugs or alcohol within the family

·       Support with school, college or work

·       Help make a positive use of time

Refresh also offer training for staff on current substance misuse issue for young people.
